Tolstoy vs Foursixty

Foursixty is a gallery product, not a video platform, and that distinction explains almost every difference below. They curate and place the social content you already have; the question is what happens when a SKU has no content to curate.

What Foursixty is

A shoppable social gallery platform that turns Instagram, TikTok, and customer content into shoppable galleries on the storefront, in email, and in ambassador storefronts.

Who Foursixty is a good fit for

Instagram-first brands where social content is the marketing engine. They have been on the Shopify App Store since 2014, their rights-management workflow is genuinely good, and their pricing is flat, published, and month-to-month. If you want your Instagram shoppable and nothing more, they do that well.

Foursixty publishes three flat monthly plans, month to month with a free trial and no contact-sales tier. Current figures are on their pricing page.

The Foursixty column reflects Foursixty’s public documentation as of July 2026. “Not documented” means we could not find the capability described publicly, not that it is unavailable. Products change — tell us if something here is out of date and we will correct it.

Why brands move from Foursixty to Tolstoy

The scope is galleries, not video commerce. Their own feature list is curation, placement, and analytics — so brands moving from "show our Instagram" to "run video as a channel" reach the edge of the product.

Content is imported, never created. The whole pipeline assumes creators and customers have already posted, which leaves no path for a SKU with no user content and no budget for a shoot.

Enterprise procurement has nothing to submit. We found no SOC 2, ISO 27001, or accessibility documentation, and their published plans top out without a negotiated enterprise tier.

Tolstoy vs Foursixty FAQ

How much does Foursixty cost?

They publish three flat monthly tiers, month to month with a free trial — see their pricing page for current figures. Transparent, published pricing is a genuine strength of theirs.

Does Foursixty work with TikTok Shop, or only import TikTok videos?

Their documentation describes importing TikTok content into galleries, not publishing out to TikTok Shop. Tolstoy syndicates the same library to TikTok Shop, Shop App, and Walmart.

Does Foursixty handle UGC rights and licensing?

Yes, and it is one of the best parts of their product — one-click rights requests with approval tracking. If rights workflow is your main requirement, weigh that seriously.

What do I gain by moving to Tolstoy?

Mainly content supply and measurement. AI Studio generates product video and imagery for SKUs that have no user content, AI Player adds video formats and A/B testing, and the same library syndicates beyond your storefront.

See it on your own catalog

Connect your store, import the video you already have, and publish a shoppable experience on your own products — no migration project required.
